Join us on Saturday, February 15 and Sunday February 16 when we welcome Lisa Myers, the U.S. Distributor for Manos del Uruguay.
We’ll have all of their yarns, as we always do, as well as a trunk show of some of their fabulous designs. Lisa will also be doing a presentation on Saturday starting at 3PM on Saturday the 15th about the Cooperative.
Learn more about why Manos is far more than just a yarn company! Join us for this free event on Saturday, February 15 at 3PM. Click here for more information.
In addition, Lisa will be teaching two classes.
On Saturday from 9AM to Noon, she’ll be teaching “Introduction to Double Knitting”. Double Knitting is a knitter’s dream: a reversible fabric with two-color patterning that’s stockinette on both sides, with no floats!
On Sunday from 9AM to Noon, she’ll teach “Intro to Stranded Colorwork”. If you’ve been thinking about learning how to knit with multiple colors, this is the class for you!
Manos del Uruguay, as you know, is a certified Fair Trade yarn, produced by a not-for-profit Women’s Cooperative in Uruguay. Since 1968, Manos has changed the lives of thousands of women, allowing them to stay in their homes in their traditional villages, as well as take care of their families. We’re proud to be the only shop that carries every yarn they make in every color. Beware of imitations!
