We're making blankets for The Longest Day, a promotion by the Alzheimer's Association to raise money for research and awareness.
In addition to donating money, if you'd like of course, we'd love you to make 12" squares and send them to us to be assembled into blankets for use in memory care facilities and wherever else they're needed.
The color of choice in Purple! We'll take any square, knit or crochet, made from machine washable yarn! We've added links below to some our our favorite purple yarns!
Our deadline for receiving the squares at the shop is Wednesday June 1.
We will gather here at the shop on Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5 to put them together!

"If you or someone you know is wondering about a loved one's memory loss, please call the Alzheimer's Association 24/7 Helpline 800-272-3900. The Helpline is available to anyone, anywhere in the country. At all hours, Masters level clinicians answer the line, and know the questions to ask to help people find the information and resources on our website. There is so much information on the website, and the Helpline staff can point people to the most relevant information quickly. Visit the Alzheimer's Association website at alz.org."
