Join us in the shop on Wednesdays May 22nd & 29th from 4:15PM to 5:15PM to expand your knitting skills by creating a beanie that is knit in the round!

Knitting in the round

Course Overview  

You will continue to develop your knitting skills by creating a basic, but beautiful, beanie! 

Over two 60 minute sections you will learn how work with circular needles to join your work in the round. The basic beanie starts with ribbing, followed by stockinette stitch for the body, followed by decrease rounds to shape the crown. You'll be a beanie making pro by the end of the 2 sessions! 


Skills Required
You should be able to cast-on, knit, purl, and bind off without assistance.

  • Ball & Skein Basic Beanie pattern
Materials/Supplies NOT included in the fee that you’ll need to bring 
You will receive a 20% discount for your class supplies.
  • 1 100 gram skein of worsted weight yarn
  • 1 set of US 6 16 inch circular knitting needles
  • 1 set of US 8 16 inch circular knitting needles
  • 1 set of US 8 double point knitting needles (required for crown shaping)
